International Mediation Summit 2019 on 16 to 18 Oct 2019 Chongqing, China

 

The International Mediation Summit 2019 kicked off in Chongqing on October 17. The Summit was co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, and organized by CCPIT Department of Legal Affairs, Commercial Law Service Center and Chongqing Committee. CCPIT Vice Chairman Lu Pengqi attended and addressed the summit.

“In recent years the global mediation industry has shown strong momentum of development. As the first forum after the signing of the Singapore Convention on Mediation, the summit debates measures to mediate international disputes and seeks a bright future for international cooperation around the theme of ‘Exploring the International Diversified Dispute Resolution Mechanism in the New Era’,” said Lu.

At the opening ceremony, CCPIT Mediation Center signed memorandums of cooperation with Mexico-China Chamber of Commerce and Technology and All India Bar Association, and CCPIT Online Mediation Website was released. More than 400 government officials, lawyers, mediators, arbitrators, legal experts, and corporate lawyers from 11 countries and regions attended the summit.
